PLOTE political wing leader assassinated

Vauniya District PLOTE political leader Thamil Vasan was shot dead by two LTTE gunmen at his residence in Mannar. The incident occurred on the night of May 29. 

The two assasscins had escaped on bicycles after committing the murder. Police said after investigations they suspect that an LTTE pistol gang to be behind the crime.
