Sri Lanka's flagship IT Company, Millennium IT (MIT) announced the partnership with ExchangeLab Inc. to develop platforms for international securities trading. The net trading platform will be known as "ELFnet", and is expected to be launched next year. "ELFnet uses intelligent software "agents" to negotiate on behalf of their principals, restoring the richness and complexity of person to person negotiations," said Chris Keith CEO ExchangeLab Inc. MIT programmers are developing the platform in New York, based on a prototype conceived by ExchangeLab. Millennium Information Technologies which started-up in 1996, has also established partnerships with Sun Micro Systems, the world leader in producing software that provides the foundation for network computing and Cisco Systems, the world leader in networking for the Internet.
