IMF and Central Bank evaluate Sri Lanka's compliance with international standards for reporting data

A team of IMF experts and Central Bank officials are nearing completion of Reports on Observance of Standards and Codes (ROSCs).

The IMF, in conjunction with the relevant authorities of the respective countries, embarks on a series of ROSCs to maintain recognized international standards, focusing primarily on the areas of direct operational concern to the IMF. 

This is a regular exercise of the IMF where Central Banks, Ministries, Organizations dealing with statistics, research arms of various countries together with the IMF discuss and evaluate reports to assess adherence to standards.
