Cabinet Minister relieved of portfolios

Minister Rauff Hakeem has been removed from the portfolios of the Minister of Internal and International Trade and Commerce, Shipping Development and Muslim Religious Affairs with immediate effect.

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has made the removal in terms of the powers vested in her under the constitution.
