Japanese software development centre in Colombo

Metatechno Inc. of Japan set up its first offshore software development centre in Sri Lanka Monday, at the World Trade Centre in Colombo.

Incorporated with an initial capital of 50 million Japanese yen, Metatechno Lanka will specialise in the development of embedded software and system software.

Started in 1984, Metatechno Inc.’s main customers are Canon, Matsushita/Panasonic, NTT Group, Fujitsu Ltd., IBM Japan Ltd., Toshiba Corp. and Sony who will in turn be potential customers for Metatechno Lanka as well.
