ADB to launch $25m project for displaced people

The Asian Development Bank [ADB] is to launch a $ 25 million project for people displaced due to the conflict in north-east Sri Lanka.

The project is named the North East Community Restoration and Development Project, will assist in shelter, education, health, water supply and sanitation, and income generation methods.

The Sri Lankan Government, the Government of Germany through the GTZ, the Government of Netherlands and other various bodies are financing this project.
