The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka [BOI] has signed 20 agreements with an investment value of Rs. 3.3 billion in June 2001, a BOI news release said. The foreign component of this investment is Rs. 1.5 billion. These agreements include Prima Ceylon Ltd. [PCL] on the status of Build Own Operate [BOO]. The 20 agreements are for the garment sector, export sector and IT sector. The projects are expected employ over 3,000 persons. The 20 agreements are: 1. Prima Ceylon Ltd. 2. Sofia Lanka Apparel (Pvt) Ltd 3. Lenia Aqua (Pvt) Ltd 4. Mode Apparels (Pvt) Ltd 5. Asia pacific Golf Courses (Pvt) Ltd 6. Ionosphere Lanka (Pvt) Ltd 7. Metric Products (Pvt) Ltd 8. Fantasia Elastics (Pvt) Ltd 9. Waste Management Industrial Washing Plant (Pvt) Ltd 10. Selnimi Apparels (Pvt) Ltd 11. I G L Developers (Pvt) Ltd 12. Senok Tea Ceylon Ltd 13. Interlock (Pvt) Ltd 14.
