Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe strongly condemned the attack by the LTTE on the Air Force Base at Katunayake and the Katunayake International Air Port at a Press briefing held Tuesday evening. In the meantime, Member of Parliament and Assistant Leader of the UNP Gamini Athukorale in a Press Release issued yesterday said, “The United National Party strongly and unreservedly condemns the attack against the Air Force Base at Katunayake and the Katunayake International Air Port, allegedly carried out by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), in the early hours of this morning.” “We express our deepest sorrow and sympathy to the families of all those who have lost their lives,” Athukorale said.
