A number of needy parents and low-income residents of the southern beach resort of Hikkaduwa received new spectacles recently. The recipients, some of whom were foster parents under the International Foster Children’s Scheme, received these spectacles at an eye camp held at the Community Centre of the Hikkaduwa Lions Club. The spectacles were a donation from John M. Sjovatsen, President of the Lions Club of Hagesund of Norway.
