SAARC special session in Colombo, today

The third session of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation [SAARC] standing committee meeting began this morning at the BMICH, Colombo.

Foreign Secretaries of the seven member countries Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, The Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will work on the arrangements for the next SAARC summit in Nepal. 

On the fringes of the Colombo meeting, Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan are expected to discuss bilateral matters, Foreign Ministry sources said.
