Bhutanese Health and Education Minister Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup will arrive in Sri Lanka Wednesday, on a two-day official visit. The Minister hopes to discuss the issues concerning health and education in both countries and seek Sri Lankan expertise to improve the condition in Bhutan. He is expected to meet Sri Lanka’s Health Minister as well as the Minister of Education, during his visit. Sri Lanka has been supportive of Bhutan in its efforts to upgrade its health facilities. Currently, Sri Lanka provides training for postgraduate medical training for Bhutanese specialists and several Bhutanese students are studying at the Sri Lanka Medical College.
