No landing charges at BIA

The Aviation Ministry has decided remove landing charges for all foreign passenger and cargo aircraft arriving at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) till the end of the year.

Earlier this concession was open only to aircraft, which bring more than 200 passengers at a time.

This offer was made to offset the high war-risk insurance premiums charged on international airlines after the LTTE attack at BIA.
