A delegation from Sri Lanka will participate at the 1st Asian International Exhibition of Textile Machinery [ITMA] from October 15 to 19. Thirty-one countries will participate at ITMA Asia 2001 with 724 exhibiting companies. Featuring a comprehensive range of textile machinery and services, the exhibition will also see 221 companies or near to 30% of its exhibitors displaying machinery for spinning preparation, man-made fibre production, spinning, winding, texturing, twisting, web formation, nonwovens, auxiliary machinery and accessories. Europe is expected to present 55% of the exhibitors and Italy will form the largest contingent to the five day event with 151 exhibiting companies taking part representing 21% of the total number of exhibitors. ITMA Asia will be a great meeting place for buyers and sellers in the apparel industry and this event is expected to draw 25,000 visitors from Asia and Oceania.
