Pakistan Navy Chief in Colombo

Pakistan’s Navy Commander Admiral Abdul Aziz Mirza arrived in Colombo Tuesday, for an official visit.

“It is a visit of goodwill to strengthen the existing friendly ties between the two countries, We salute him for his visit to Sri Lanka at this time accepting the invitation of Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral Daya Sandagiri,” a Navy Headquarters spokesman said.

Admiral Mizra is scheduled to meet President Chandrika Kumaratunga, Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake and high officials of the Army, Navy and the Air Force.

He will also review the country’s naval security and the security of the ports with Vice Admiral Sandagiri during his four-day visit.
