“The fullest support will be provided for the establishment of a gemmological laboratory in Sri Lanka which would ultimately benefit the buyers to get quality certification,” said Richard Greenwood, the President of the American Gem Trade Association. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of “Facets 2001”, at Hotel Hilton Colombo, last week. The three-day international gem & jewellery show attracted many international gem and jewellery traders. Nearly sixty companies displayed a wide range of precious and semi-precious gems and fine jewellery.
