E-business, which is vital for the prosperity of today’s companies will be the focus of ‘Business Convention 2001’ by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce this year. “E-business is changing the way an organisation does business and in its interaction with customers, suppliers and other business organisations,” Ceylon Chamber’s Convention Committee Chairman Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala briefed the media. The conference brief defines e-business as any business-related interaction that uses Internet as the primary means of communication. The convention – “e-biz – the economy transformed” will be held on 5 and 6 October at the Hotel Lanka Oberoi. The convention programme features presentations by renowned Sri Lankan and foreign experts.
