‘Thambapanni’, an up market Sri Lankan restaurant will be launched in Dubai by a young Sri Lankan entrepreneur Chulaka Gunawardena on September 27. ‘Thambapanni’ will have authentic Sri Lankan cuisine served by the friendly Sri Lankan staff the traditional Sri Lankan ambience. The Restaurant will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, artifacts and handicrafts at ‘Thambapanni’ to promote Sri Lanka’s business sector in Dubai. Chulaka brings to ‘Thambapanni’ his experience in managing the popular restaurant in Dubai – ‘Tamarind’ and ‘Copacabana’ – a theme restaurant that he designed and created with an ambience of ‘South American wilderness’. The opening ceremony on the 27th will feature a demonstration on the preparation of Sri Lankan tea.
