Urban Development Authority and 2000 Plaza Private Limited have launched on a Rs.900m [US Dollars 10 Million] condominium project in Sri Jayawardenapura. The condominium project will consist of 143 apartments, 136 for residencies and the others for commercial purposes. “This will be the first and only high-rise housing complex project at present, in the new capital according to the UDA master Plan,” Janaka Edirisinghe, Director (Operations) 2000 Plaza said. The apartments will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and fittings. The entire complex has been designed as an independent self sustaining high-rise building that has recourse to its own standby generators, water storage facilities and pumps, water heating systems, comprehensive security, underground parking and cable TV facility. A mini mart, coffee shop, health care centre, swimming pool, gymnasium and laundry mart are among the other facilities.
