Three Sri Lankan adventurers have departed on an expedition to the Mt. Everest region in the Himalayas. The team consists of Charith Hemasiri, a Software Support Executive from E trade Private Limited, Elmo Francis, a Junior Executive with Aitken Spence Travel Ltd. and Marlon Saldin, a member of Club Adventure. The team aims to be the first Sri Lankan team to conquer Mt. Everest’s South Col, Mt. Kalapatar and Mt. Gokyo Ri in the Everest region. Taking a major leap in Sri Lankan mountaineering history the team will make an attempt to scale one of the most significant peaks in the Himalayan region.
