Amnesty International (AI) condemned the suicide bomb attack in Colombo in a press release Wednesday. The organisation denounced the suicide bombing apparently carried out by the LTTE on Monday killing three civilians and wounding over 16. In the press release AI appeals to the LTTE not to carry out ‘direct or indiscriminate attacks’ on civilians. Meanwhile, the Canadian High Commission in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, strongly deplored the attack highlighting the need to enhance security cooperation among the international community to end terrorism. “Canada condemns this act of terrorism and urges calm as well as restraint from all parties in the lead up to the December elections in Sri Lanka,” said High Commissioner Ruth Archibald.
