The depth of the third and the fourth stages of the Jaye Container Terminal will be extended upto fifteen metres. “This expansion will allow container carriers with a capacity of more than 5000 Twenty Feet Equivalent Units [TEUs] to enter the port and Sri Lanka will attract more business,” a Ports Ministry source said.
