A team of Korean doctors is in the island this to provide free oriental medical services to Sri Lankan patients. The Korean Oriental Medical Services Team Abroad (KOMSTA) will begin work in Sri Lanka this weekend and continue till Tuesday 13th November. The team of 18 doctors and administrative staff will not only examine patients and dispense prescriptions for all medical disorders. Consultations will be at two different hospitals; the Gampaha Base Hospital and the Borella Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital. The visit of the Korean Medics is at the invitation of the Ministry of Health, Indigenous Medicine and Social Services and is sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. This is the second occasion Korea has sent out such a team of doctors.
