The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Shanghai International Chamber of Commerce’s China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) – Shanghai Sub Council, Monday. “The MOU is mainly intended for the promotion of trade investments, joint ventures and services between the two countries,” the Senior Assistant Secretary General of the of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Domingo Pillai said. A six-member delegation from China took part in the ceremony. Though the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has signed over 25 MOUs with approximately 20 countries this is its first MOU with a Chinese organisation.
