Twenty-three projects worth USD 926 million funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are in progress.
ADB has granted Sri Lanka USD 2.6 billion for major infrastructure development projects from 1969.
The ADB has approved loans this year for four major projects of which two are in the implementation stage. The Colombo Port Development Project and North-East Community Restoration Project have already started.
The Southern Province Rural Development Project and the Small and Medium Scale Enterprise Development Project are in the process of being implemented.
