December 29, 2001 - 7.30 GMT]

The Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) in collaboration with the Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority (BEDIA) is making arrangements to take a group of Sri Lankan investors to study and assess the potential for investment in that Southern African country.

BEIDA is Botswana’s Government agency entrusted with promotion of investment.

The Sri Lankan entrepreneurs plan to leave for Gaborone in late February.

Some of the Sri Lankans have already made use of openings available in Botswana. Several business opportunities have been identified in Botswana for Sri Lankan investors, especially in the fields of garment manufacture, diamond cutting, hotel & tourism, education, meat processing, leather and manufacture machinery.
