MTV (Maharaja Television) Channel (Pvt.) Ltd., which was knocked off air on Sunday due to a major fire, which developed in the television station’s master control room, is back on air again. “All our channels are up again and it’s a miracle! We were able to do this only because of the tremendous support we received from other media,” a spokesperson for MTV said. The incident kept all the electronic media transmissions of the MTV Network - Sirasa TV and radio, Shakthi TV and radio, MTV and Yes FM - off the air for several hours. Three broadcasting studios and the graphics room have been completely destroyed by the fire but no casualties were reported. “We have lost everything,” he added. “But it’s very encouraging to see all those who work for MTV bound in one spirit to help the station back to its feet. It’s a strength to MTV.”
