The three member Norwegian delegation left Colombo, Saturday morning. During their two-day stay in Colombo, they held wide-ranging discussions with President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tyronne Fernando and several political party leaders. The delegation comprising Norwegian State Secretary Vidar Helgesen, Erik Solheim and Executive Officer Ms. Kjersti Tromsdal arrived in Sri Lanka on January 10 after receiving formal requests from both the Sri Lankan government and the LTTE to act as the facilitator for political negotiation.
