Sri Lanka for the first time, would present her software skills at CeBIT-the world’s biggest tradeshow for information and telecommunications technology. Ten leading IT/ICT companies will represent Sri Lanka at CeBIT 2002 in Hannover, Germany from March 13 – 20, 2002. The national pavilion will bear the slogan: ‘From the land of the eighth wonder we bring you Software par excellence.’ The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) has made this possible together with Sri Lanka Embassy in Germany and the Software Exporters Associations (SEA). The ten companies representing Sri Lanka would be WaveNET Pvt Ltd creators of OmniBIS, Lanka On-Line Pvt Ltd, Excel Soft Pvt Ltd, LogicalTech Corporation Pvt Ltd, Softech Pvt Ltd, eCommerce Technologies, hSenid Software International Pvt Ltd, Ubizport Pvt Ltd, Evosoft Interactive and Prudential Technologies Pte Ltd. CeBIT Hannover developed as a part of the ‘Hannover Fair’ attracts over 800,000 visitiors every year.
