A decision has been taken to appoint Stephen Evans as the new British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka. The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with the concurrence of the Government of Sri Lanka has decided to appoint Stephen Evans as British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka. Evans will take this position in succession to Her Excellency Mrs. Linda Duffiled, a Foreign Ministry press release said Wednesday.
