Constitutional Council nominees decided

Five members were nominated to the Constitutional Council at Thursday’s party leaders meeting. The Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader were present on the occasion.

The Constitutional Council was set up under the 17th amendment to the Constitution for the establishment of Independent Commissions for the Public Service, Judiciary, Elections and the Police.

The list of nominees is due be forwarded to the President later today.
