Jeyaraj heads COPE

Former Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle was elected unanimously to the post of Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on Thursday.

The 15-member COPE-regarded as one of the most powerful parliamentary committees-checks the accounts and activities of public institutions.
