Sri Lankan Apparels on show in the US

Thirty-nine leading Sri Lankan Apparel manufacturers will participate at the “The Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Fair”, an event organised very specially to introduce quality Sri Lankan apparel to overseas buyers.

The event will take place at Pennsylvania Hotel in New York, from March 12 to 13 with the collaboration of the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka [EDB].

A spokesperson for the EDB said that the exhibition was organised to give an opportunity for US buyers to have a first hand experience of Sri Lanka’s apparel industry and to discover the advantages of sourcing apparel from Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington has made arrangements for leading US buyers, Farah Lee, Levi’s and Nordstrom, to have one to one discussions with several Sri Lankan apparel manufacturers as part of the programme.
