More facilities for Moratuwa University through Japanese aid

The Japanese Government has stepped in to finance the purchase of laboratory and engineering equipment for the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Moratuwa and to upgrade research and laboratory facilities at the Faculty of Engineering. The University of Moratuwa is a centre of excellence for science and engineering related studies in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan government will receive Japanese Yen 506,000,000 (US$ 3.9 million) under the Grant Aid Program and another grant amounting to Yen 3,577,000 (US$ 0.03 million) under the Japanese Government's Debt Relief Grant Scheme.
