“Malicious campaign against PSD” - President Kumaratunga

President Chandrika Kumaratunga in a letter to Attorney General K. C. Kamalasabeyson has alleged that there was a malicious campaign to hound her security division.

In the letter the President has asked the Attorney General to advise the Police to conduct the ‘Maturata’ investigation according to the law of the country.

Her letter alleged that the aim of this conspiracy was to dishearten the Presidential Security Division and thereby put her life in danger.

She has further said that the CID without valid reason had questioned some senior officers of the President’s staff on the pretext of investigating the Maturata incident.
