First dot com IPO opens March 26

[March 23, 2002 - 7.30 GMT]

eChannelling Ltd., will offer the Sri Lankan public an opportunity to invest in the first ever local “dot com” IPO worth Rs. 100 million when its share issue opens on March 26. 

The Initial Public Offering (IPO) will be 6.66 million ten-rupee shares at Rs. 15 each. 

eChannelling a joint venture between Millennium IT and Ayojana Fund Management Company Limited is a web based centralised booking system for the consultation of specialist doctors at private hospitals. 

At present four leading hospitals-Nawaloka, Durdans, Asiri and Oasis have joined the network. 

The company plans to include government hospitals and general practitioners as well.
