Sri Lanka in Global Development Learning Network of World Bank

A Distance Learning Centre (DLC) connected to the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) of the World Bank was inaugurated in Colombo Tuesday. 

“This DLC is intended to strengthen the environment for policy reforms in Sri Lanka and build capacity in the public and private sectors,” a press release issued by the DLC in Colombo said.

The Centre will offer programmes on policy formulation, development and analysis in a combination of four main technologies – Video Conferencing, Internet, CD-ROM and Print. 

The Centre also expects to increase local access to global knowledge and specialized knowledge using Internet based technology.
