UNESCO Director General to visit Sri Lanka

Koichiro Matsuura, Director General of UNESCO is due in Colombo tomorrow.

Matsuura who arrives on a two-day visit will inaugurate the UNESCO sponsored International Seminar on the Proposed Regional Institute of Museology for the Asia-Pacific region, which will be held in Colombo and Polonnaruwa from May 8 to 11. 

Koichiro Matsuura will also participate at the opening of the new office for the UNESCO National Commission of Sri Lanka and the launch of the UNESCO publication “Way of Peace.”
