Pakistani President arrives tomorrow

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf will arrive in Colombo Wednesday on a two-day official visit. He will be received at the airport by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.  

President Musharraf and Madam Sehba Musharraf will call on President Chandrika Kumaratunga on Wednesday evening and be hosted to a State Banquet at the President’s House Colombo.

The Pakistani President is also expected to sign a 'Free Trade Agreement' with Sri Lanka during his stay, to boost economic ties between the two countries.

Pakistani Commerce Minister Razak Dawood, Information Minister Nisar Memon, Environment Minister Shahida Jamil, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Inam ul Haq and Defence Secretary Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz will accompany the visiting President.
