Sri Lanka has named its team for next month’s World Cup Cricket Championship in South Africa. The squad includes Sanath Jayasuriya, Marvan Atapattu, Mahela Jayawardena, Russel Arnold, Kumar Sangakkara, Chaminda Vaas, Aravinda de Silva, Muttaiah Muralitharan, Dilhara Fernando, Jehan Mubarak, Hashan Tillekeratne, Avishka Gunawardena, Pulasthi Gunaratne, Charitha Buddika Fernando and Prabath Nissanka. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan team currently touring Australia beat Victoria County XI in a Hope Cancer Hospital Charity Match at Hasting (90 km from Melbourne). Following the match, a cheque for Au$ 32,000 was handed over to the Hope Cancer Hospital Project by the Cricket Foundation in Victoria.
