Amidst poor performances by the national team in recent times, the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) is scouting for new talent.

The ‘Talent Search’ residential coaching camp - the second of its kind - was successfully concluded recently at the Khettarama International Cricket Stadium with the participation of fourteen outstanding players under the age of seventeen.

The Talent Search programme for the under-15 and under-17 age groups, sponsored by Singer Sri Lanka at a cost of Rs. 1.5 million was launched at Dambulla in September 2002.
