Labour Minister elected to IPU Committee

Labour Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe has been elected President of the Human Rights Committee of the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU). He will hold office for one year.

The Committee inquires into human rights violations against Parliamentarians of some 154 Parliaments in the world.
