Talks to continue despite blowing up of LTTE boat

[February 7, 2003 - 11.30 GMT]

A statement issued by the Royal Norwegian Government stated that talks between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) currently being held in Berlin continued as scheduled.

The statement followed the incident where three LTTE members blew up their boat near the Delft Island this afternoon.

“The ongoing session of peace talks will continue as scheduled,” the statement said.
