SriLankan Airlines expands flights to India 

[March 4, 2003 - 10.00 GMT]

SriLankan Airlines will launch its latest Indian destination, Kochi on April 22.

Formerly known as Cochin, Kochi is the commercial capital of Kerala state in South India.

Kochi will be SriLankan’s eighth destination in India and its fifth destination in South India. The airline now flies to New Delhi, Mumbai, Bodh Gaya, Chennai, Bangalore, Trichy and Trivandrum.

“As a close neighbour, we are obviously delighted to be expanding operations to India and look forward to serving the people of Kochi,” G. T. Jeyaseelan, SriLankan’s Head of Commercial said.
