Raid on holiday home: Investigators recover more smut

The Department of Information Technology of the Colombo University has detected a large quantity child pornographic material while screening the contents of the computer recovered from a house raided last January by the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA). 

The NCPA Police Unit raided a holiday home in a suburb of Colombo on January 18 owned by an international TV presenter who was arrested in the UK over allegations of child abuse. The Authority also inspected the adjoining house of the caretaker of the holiday home and took into custody 54 VHS cassettes, a computer and accessories.

The caretaker of the holiday home has been presented before the Magistrate and released on Rs. 250,000/= bail the NCPA said in a news release.
