Flights to Kuwait temporarily suspended
[March 21, 2003 - 11.00 GMT]

National carrier, Sri Lankan Airlines yesterday, cancelled its weekly flights to Kuwait. Flights to other Middle Eastern destinations would operate as scheduled.

According to an Airline spokesman the situation is being monitored closely and unless the conflict intensifies the flights would operate as scheduled. The Airlines says however there could be ad hoc changes to its flight schedules.
