Opposition Leader Mahinda
Rajapakse has requested for a ‘special debate at adjournment’ on the
‘progress relating to the government’s offer of an ‘interim
administration’ to the LTTE, in a letter to the Speaker, Joseph Michael
Perera yesterday.
Rajapakse notes the need
to have certain matters clarified and explained “in order to make the
public aware of the contents of the interim administration draft that has
been handed over to the LTTE by the government”.
Rajapakse has suggested
the debate be held without delay and for
at least two days.
