“Take
Your Share of Peace” programme launched

The
Government today launched its accelerated programme to provide electricity
and better roads to the people in rural areas. The 18-month programme is
called “Take Your Share of Peace”.
“We
are now in a position to share peace dividends among the people”, Cabinet
spokesman Prof. G. L. Peiris told the media today.
The
total cost of the programme is over Rs. 1700 million. China, Kuwait, Sweden
and ADB will assist the government in this development programme.
