Union
Bank takes over Mashreq

Union
Bank Ltd (UBL), incorporated of Pakistan took over businesses of the Mashreq
Bank, Colombo branch from August 15.
On
July 30, 2003 the Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued a license to the Union
Bank to carry out domestic and offshore banking businesses in Sri Lanka.
