“LTTE response on IA expected within two weeks”-cabinet spokesman

Cabinet spokesman Prof. G. L. Peiris said the government expects the LTTE counter proposals on interim administration within the next two weeks.

“It is quite evident that the LTTE is making a serious study of federal systems”, Prof. Peiris said at the weekly cabinet press briefing today.

He said the government delegation now in the Swiss capital Berne is not discussing matters connected with the LTTE proposals; the Berne discussion he said is about human security and forms of government and was arranged by the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
