International Book Fair opens

The 5th
Colombo International Book Fair organised by the Book Publishers Association
of Sri Lanka opened at the new Srimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition
Centre at the BMICH today. The fair will be on until 21st
September.
This
year the fair has 200 stalls with 43 foreign publishes participating from
India, Malaysia, UK and US.
Ms.Shoba
De, a famous Indian author, together with Prof. J. B. Dissanayake, Head of
Sinhala Department, University of Colombo and K. Jayatilleke, a well-known
Sri Lankan author inaugurated the exhibition.
